our little bipedal ambulator

How strange it is that the most commonplace, literally the most
pedestrian, things in life should fill us with such awe, amazement, and joy when done for the first time by a child.

note: this video was shot three months to the day after her first crawl.

feeling better…

She’s not completely healthy (still has a snotty, runny nose), but she’s clearly feeling more like her normal self. Today, in fact, our miraculous little bean walked for the first time! You read that right. It was only about 4 steps covering *maybe* 35 centimeters, but no one can deny that she walked. We attempted to reproduce the event for the video camera, but Nora was too busy being something between pleased and freaked out by her accomplishment to indulge us. Then she promptly and triumphantly took a nap (is taking). Film at 11 (for certain values of 11).

She’s also recently gotten very, very good at “How big is Nora?” and a game we call “grrrrrrr”. All this and more in future episodes of Life With Nora or Bringing up Baby or The Reason Daddy Never Gets Papers Graded In A Timely Manner or How To Go Grey And Become Wrinkled Without Really Trying.
