in the lab

Nora came into the lab this morning to help me run some subjects. :)

Nora, Jen, and I spent some time this afternoon kicking back and enjoying some glasses of water. For a first-timer we think she remained remarkably dry.

Nora just *loves* her hygiene. Actually, she can do without the water and the bathtub and the soap and the scrubbing and the q-tips and the drying and the cuddling and the portable heater. She just really, really likes to not have any clothes on.

We learned many things at Nora’s 4 month check-up today but the two that stand out most clearly from the growing body of photographic evidence are:

Sorry we didn’t post anything on her actual 4 month birthday (yesterday). Grad school is hard.
In case anyone is concerned that their comments are not being read by the subject of this site, here we see her attending to her blogging duties: deleting spam, going over the logs, checking her e-mail, and improving her PageRank. She allows the in-house tech support to operate the keyboard, but I’m sure it’s clear who’s really pulling the strings.

Nora’s first st patrick’s day was a hoot. She and I rode the bus to campus where she hung out with Mommy at work so I could run subjects in the lab:

Then, this evening, she had her first bodhrán lesson:

Here’s me and Nora accidentally making the same face (disturbingly, I look a lot like my dad here, I think).

but then she went back to watching the hockey game…

Granny took us all out to Buddy’s today in mildly belated (and unbearably frozen) celebration of Jen’s birthday. Here’s Nora’s more contemplative side:
