Nora is currently away for 4 days and 3 nights of sleep-away camp at an undisclosed location in the American West. We went over and toured the place on Saturday and she was very, very excited to go back. There will be camp fires, songs, an art barn, glitter, hiking, and ridiculously late bedtimes. (We can’t wait until she comes home)

Nora’s father’s day gift to me this year was one last ride on Cañada Road. It’s kind of amazing how much she has grown and how much stronger she has gotten in the two years we’ve lived here. On our first ride, all of the other cyclists commented on how adorable she was and called out shouts of encouragement as they passed us. It was pretty amazing, I think, to see someone that small powering up the hills on her little, pink bike. This last time, though, there was only one shout of encouragement and this was from an older couple we were passing as Nora powered up the hill in her somewhat larger blue bike.
Nora played her first piano recital on Friday, and it went really well!
