Sorry for the non-Nora post, but the rubberducky legal department would like to have a word with the 17 year old high school kid with the e-mail address systemofadown1337@hotmail.com who has spent the evening attempting to post legal threats on all of our recent rubberducky posts (’1337′ is leet speak for ‘elite’). The text of these rubberducky threats is:

I see that you adress [sic] yourself under the name “rubberducky”. I am sorry but i must ask you to replace that name with something else, the name “rubberducky” is under my ownership. If you do not replace the name, I will sue you.

How exactly do you own this name? LLC? DBA? TradeMark? Copyright?

I’ve owned the rubberducky.org domain name since 1998, Mr. 1337. Do please have your lawyers contact me, I should be fascinated to learn what grounds you claim and how you think the posts about our little girl might be infringing them. They can get my contact info from the whois data on the rubberducky domain name. In the mean time, please stop spamming my rubberducky baby blog.

Last weekend Nora and I made a farewell trip to Borders *sniff*, my office and the dinosaur museum. Here she is all helmeted up and waiting patiently for me to find the key to my bike lock. We also stopped at a café for cookies.
