sledding!

Nora and I went sledding two days ago and it was great. It was great right up until she lost control of the sled, flipped, crashed face first, slid down the hill, and was hit in the back of the head by her own sled* but then I got a pretty good photo of it so even that bit was pretty good (for me). There were little streams of freezing tears on my coat when I finished carrying her home. Having dried her little face, we changed into dry pajamas, ate a nice warm lunch, and (both) took a long winter’s nap.
* don’t worry! more insult than injury.

Ah, character building. Love it! This blog is so delightful. Only downside is that it tends to make me feel slightly inadequate as a father. :)

bah! that’s nice of you to say, Danny, but did you see the part where I stood and took pictures of her snow-encrusted face? She was *furious* with me. :)

Posting sledding pictures of your kid without a helmet seems like an invitation for people to say you’re an irresponsible parent. Fortunately for you Kevin, I am not one of those people.
We went sledding in Saline on Sunday. No crashes, but Spencer was not too wild about the whole ordeal. I suppose we have time to convince him otherwise.

people put helmets on kids to go sledding now? ridiculous.
