13 days ago Nora and I took advantage of some unseasonably beautiful weather and took the bike & trailer out for a spin. She loved it.

11 days ago (sorry!) Nora and I attended a kite making party at Salomé’s house. Here’s a shot of Nora and Salomé tying each other together with yellow caution tape (aka kite tail).

I think the adults had a great time and sunny spring day kite making parties would definitely become a tradition were such a thing logistically possible.

me: Nora, want another piece of pizza?
Nora: *shakes head* I already have one.
me: okay.
Nora: you cook my pizza.
me: yes, I did.
Nora: you cook my pizza Nora!
me: yes, I cooked the pizza for Nora.
Nora: thank you! thank you, daddy!

Nora adores both Kacie and ice cream so what could be better than an outing that involves both?

making a break for it

Saturday, April 3rd, 2010

Nora took advantage of the fine weather we’ve been having lately to make a break for it. Here she is dragging her luggage down the sidewalk. We’d be miserable if she really left, but I think we’re safe until she learns to travel a bit lighter.

music for fishies

Friday, April 2nd, 2010

I’ve been introducing Nora to different musical instruments lately to see if she’s interested in any of them. So far her keenest interest has been in the slide whistle that belonged to her granddad Hogarty and my tin whistles. Here are a couple of photos of her performing for the fish.

no jammies, thanks

Friday, April 2nd, 2010

Apparently, Nora didn’t want to wear her jammies last night.

ladybug kite

Thursday, April 1st, 2010

Nora was very excited about her new ladybug kite until it finally took flight and then she wandered off to the sandbox and wouldn’t even look at it.
