to build a blurry tower

It’s difficult enough to erect a bucket tower with toddler hands; imagine trying to do it under these blurry conditions! I may have to break down and read the manual for our camera. Please note the presence of “I am concentrating!” tongue in the first panel.

It looks like your autofocus just picked the wrong thing to focus on. Though the telephone comes through crystal clear. What I do with my SLR is to use the center as the focus point, and if I want an off-center focus, generally it’s good enough to point at the subject, push the shutter button half-way to get it to focus, move to frame the shot, and push the shutter the rest of the way to snap the picture. As long as there aren’t any significant lighting changes as a result of framing the shot, they turn out. I’ve been burned by my camera focusing on something other than the subject of the photo too many times…

Nora’s still adorable, though. Even (or perhaps especially) when she’s fuzzy. :)
