Okay, so it’s not jiff. It’s hippie-friendly organic peanut butter with flax seed oil. Either way, Nora loves it and I got to watch her figure out that you can use a mouthful of broccoli to work a mouthful of mushy peanut butter bread off the roof of your mouth (the alveolar ridge, don’t you know). This is Nora’s first-ever peanut butter sammich (don’t tell the allergen patrol!).
Note that the second half of her sandwich is peanut butter-side down on the table. :)

The allergen patrol won’t get you – but it’s not the 1st one you need to worry about – it’s the subsequent ones…. I bet you already knew that :)
yeah, she’s had peanut butter many times (on apple slices or crackers); I don’t think we’re concerned. Lucky little bean is also not allergic to strawberries — I’m extremely jealous.
Lucky little bean for sure! Strawberries? That’s got to stink just as badly as our pb and egg allergies….
I like how the doctors tell you not to introduce too many foods at once. Because surely, if the child develops a rash or something, it must be the food, right? It clearly could not be a bacteria or virus, or simply having hot, wet skin. Nope. Must definitely be the food, and you can tell after the first time without any doubts. No need for an n greater than 1.
I’d guess their perspective is that it’s not an n of 1 (sure, it’s an n of 1 for us, but they’re there all day). :)
